I bought this bike from Dutch (Airtech) back in 2011 for a casual track bike. Since then, the project has balloned into a full on restoration/modified track bike. It has a Gen 2 Slingshot engine (113.5 RWHP) and has been pared down to 391 lbs. on an empty tank.

The LTD paint/bodywork/details evolved over time, but I'm glad I did it. The performance at the track is amazing. Many modern bikes are really surprised by the speed of a 30 year old bike with skinny 18" tires. Recently, I was invited to a track day by the guys at Motorcyclist magazine so they could ride the Gixxer in anger. Ari Henning put down some fast laps at Auto Club Speedway that were only 10 seconds off of the fastest liter bikes on slicks - not to shabby for a classic!
